Soh Xin Jie

Principal Podiatrist

Soh Xin Jie graduated in 2013 from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor in Health Sciences (Honors, Podiatry) under the Health Science Scholarship Award.

She began practicing as a Podiatrist at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and underwent her fellowship training under the Singhealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston (Texas), where she was trained in high risk, complex foot management and sports biomechanics. She was also part of the SGH Amputee Rehabilitation team that developed the Amputee Rehabilitation Pathway to facilitate faster recovery and return to function and independence.

Xin Jie is experienced in various foot and lower limb conditions. Her special interests include musculoskeletal conditions of the foot, and paediatric foot conditions. In her treatment methods, she believes in taking on a patient-centered approach, such that all treatments are personalized to her patients’ lifestyle and activities, leading to positive treatment outcomes.

Xin Jie strongly believes in nurturing the next generation. She was appointed Chief Clinical Educator for the Podiatry Department at SGH where she contributed greatly by developing Hands-on Placement Workshop for Podiatry students, developed e-learning modules for her juniors, supervisors for junior Podiatrists and Podiatry students, to name a few. Outside work, Xin Jie volunteers teaching extensively both locally and overseas where she held foot care trainings for nursing staff at nursing homes to enhance their care for the residents, provide diabetic foot education to the community and also volunteered for a children’s mentoring programme in CDAC.

Her excellent customer service, bubbly personality, and pleasant disposition has won her the SingHealth Quality Service Award Silver and Gold in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Soh Xin Jie is a member of the Wound Healing Society (Singapore) and Podiatry Association (Singapore). In her free time, Xin Jie enjoys yoga, hiking, and doing art and craft projects with her daughter.
